Project nameCharging the Future: Training Trainers for Electric Truck and Bus Maintenance
Project schedule01.10.2025- 30.09.2027
Project implementersRAKO (Estonia, coordinator), TTS (Finland), ANFA (France), Tecnopolys (France), FOMG (Italy), Institut
Caparrella (Spain)
Project fundersErasmus+
Project goalThis project strengthens vocational education and training (VET) in sustainable
transport by developing a specialised training module on electric truck maintenance
for VET teachers.
As the transport sector rapidly transitions towards low-emission and electric
technologies, vocational educators need up-to-date knowledge and practical skills to
prepare students for emerging labour market demands. This project responds to that
need by equipping teachers with the technical and pedagogical competences
required to deliver high-quality training in electric truck maintenance.
What the Project Will Do

The partnership will organize transnational meetings to analyze training needs,
exchange best practices, and visit specialized workshops. Based on these findings,
the partners will design a comprehensive “Training for Trainers” module covering:

  • Key components and systems of electric trucks
  • Maintenance and safety requirements
  • Environmental impact and sustainability aspects
  • Practical and pedagogical approaches for teaching this subject

The training module will be piloted during a dedicated course for VET teachers
hosted by Technopolys, which provides the necessary technical resources and
    expertise.

Expected Outcomes

The main outcome of the project will be a structured “Training for Trainers” module
on electric truck maintenance, made available through an open-access Moodle
platform to ensure broad accessibility and inclusion.

In addition, the project will develop a draft framework for Virtual Exchanges and
group mobility programmes for students. This framework will be promoted through
eTwinning and will serve as a foundation for future international cooperation and
mobility initiatives in sustainable transport education.

Impact

By empowering vocational educators with modern skills and open-access learning
materials, the project contributes to:

  • Improving the quality of VET in sustainable transport
  • Supporting the green transition in the automotive sector
  • Promoting international collaboration among educational institutions
  • Expanding opportunities for student mobility and virtual cooperation

Through these activities, the project aims to create lasting value for teachers,
students, and the broader sustainable mobility ecosystem.
